More fountains and shopping

This fountain from 1600's is in the courtyard of Palazzo dei Priory on Piazza del Plebiscito. The building now houses the town offices. The fountain has elegant lions holding the top, but the light is not right. We are supposed to look at it at sunrise...

More lions: Fontana dei Leoni is on Piazza delle Erbe, a few steps away. The guidebook says in winter the lions get elaborate icy beards. Vediamo. The piazza has a couple of cafes, and people seem to like hanging out here: not just young people but also families, mothers with strollers. It is about 7 pm.

Piazza delle Erbe is the end Corso Italia -- a shopping street and a passeggiata.

Couldn't resist, of course.
